Prof. Lihi Adler-Abramovich, Prof. Ygal Rotenstreich, and Dr. Ifat Sher were awarded the ISF–DFG grant for ophthalmology research

The Israel Science Foundation (ISF), together with the German Research Foundation (DFG), has awarded a prestigious research grant to a collaborative project uniting three research groups: Prof. Lihi Adler-Abramovich (Tel Aviv University), Prof. Ygal Rotenstreich and Dr. Ifat Sher (Sheba Medical Center, Israel), and Prof. Volker Busskamp (University of Bonn, Germany).

The project will focus on developing advanced human stem cell-derived macula models aimed at counteracting blindness.

This international collaboration seeks to drive forward innovative approaches in ophthalmology and regenerative medicine, with the ultimate goal of preventing vision loss and improving patient outcomes.
