General Information

Dr. Bassal is a senior researcher at the Israel Center for Disease Control, Ministry of Health.

 

She is also a senior lecturer at the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, School of Public Health, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Tel Aviv University.

CV

Dr. Ravit Bassal started her career at the Israel Center for Disease Control in 2000; she began her career as the director of the national serum bank and the unit of enteric infections surveillance.

She completed her master's degree (M.Sc.) in epidemiology and preventive medicine at Tel Aviv University, in 2008 under the supervision of Prof. Dani Cohen. Dr. Bassal completed her doctoral degree (PhD) in epidemiology and preventive medicine at Tel Aviv University in 2015, under the mentorship of both Prof. Lital Keinan-Boker and Prof. Dani Cohen, focusing on human papillomavirus infections.

In 2023, she was appointed as a senior lecturer at the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine School of Public Health, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Tel Aviv University.
