Professional background

Prof. Bodas is an Associate Professor at the Department of Emergency & Disaster Management, School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, Tel-Aviv University. Dr. Bodas holds a B.Sc. in Life Sciences, a Master in Public Health (MPH) with an emphasis in emergency and disaster management, and a Ph.D. in Disaster Management, all from Tel-Aviv University. His Ph.D. thesis focused on the evaluation of the efficacy of psychological interventions in the promotion of household preparedness for emergencies in Israel. Successfully completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Research Center in Emergency and Disaster Medicine (CRIMEDIM) in Novara, Italy. 

His studies focus mainly on social psychology, human motivation, and resilience in the context of emergency and disaster management.

Prof. Bodas is the former director of the Israel National Center for Trauma & Emergency Medicine Research, Gertner Institute of Epidemiology in Israel. Previously, held the position of Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of PrevenTech ltd, a CBRN defense company in Israel. Prior to that, served as a CBRN Defense Officer at the Office of Assistant Minister of Defense for CBRN Defense (reserved Major).
