Environmental Health Research
The School of Public Health at Tel Aviv University and Sheba Medical Center, together with the Research Authority, invite you to Exposome Israel 2026: Clinical Perspectives & Public Health. The symposium will focus on the growing field of exposomics and its relevance to clinical research and public health.
The program will examine the totality of human exposures and their role in health and disease, bringing together research on “forever chemicals,” ambient pollutants, and social determinants of health.
The symposium will open with remarks by Prof. Karen Avraham, Dean of the Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, and Prof. Liat Lerner, Head of the School of Public Health at Tel Aviv University.
Keynote speakers include Prof. Robert O. Wright of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, presenting remotely on exposomics in clinical research, and Prof. Maayan Yitshak-Sade of Mount Sinai on the joint effects of acute disaster exposure and chronic environmental exposures on cardiometabolic and mental health in World Trade Center responders.
The program will also feature talks on the exposome and fertility, the effects of heat on public health, “forever chemicals” and cancer risk, and the social exposome and social determinants of health.
The symposium is free of charge.
