The laboratory of Prof. Uri Ben David

It's safety first at the Faculty of Medicine with a visit to Prof. Uri Ben David's laboratory in the department of human molecular genetics and biochemistry.

 

Prof. Karen Avraham, Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Rina Arbesfeld, Vice Dean, visit the laboratories to discuss the importance of safety and how to make it a priority.

 

The visits encourage maintaining a safe and inviting learning and working environment for everyone. 

 

Safety highlights in the laboratory

  • Personal protective equipment: closed shoes (in the laboratory space), gown, gloves (at work station), protective glasses (if necessary).
  • Chemicals must be stored in designated cabinets (inside safes).
  • All gas cylinders must be tied (each cylinder separately).
  • Contact details, including a phone number, must be indicated on the laboratory doors, refrigerators and freezers.
  • Do not bring food or drink into the laboratories
