BSF grants awarded to Sackler researchers

Recently, seven researchers from the Sackler Faculty of Medicine were awarded grants by the prestigious U.S.-Israel Binational Science Foundation (BSF). For more than 40 years, BSF grants have advanced scientific relations between the U.S. and Israel by supporting collaborative research projects between the two countries. Grants are awarded based on a competitive, peer-reviewed basis and must demonstrative outstanding scientific merit and direct collaboration between American and Israeli researchers.

The seven recent grantees are: 

• Dr. Khitam Muhsen from the School of Public Health

• Prof. Fuad Iraqi from the Dept. of Microbiology & Immunology

• Dr. Moshe Parnas from the Department of Physiology & Pharmacology 

• Dr. Oren Kobiler from the Dept. of Microbiology & Immunology

• Prof. Israel Hershkovitz from the Dept. of Anatomy & Anthropology

• Prof. Ariel Munitz from the Dept. of Microbiology & Immunology

• Prof. Yossi Shiloh from the Dept. of Human Molecular Genetics & Biochemistry

Dr. Khitam Muhsen also recently received a grant from the Israeli Ministry of Health.
