The 2023 TAU MedTech Hackathon took place in January 2023. After 40 hours of hard work and innovation, we announced the winners of this year's hackathon. Our judges were impressed by the creativity and dedication of all teams, but only six groups qualified for the grand final. The Team "OReye" from the Clalit Health Services' general surgery track won 1st place for their innovative solution, which makes the operating room safer for patients and relieves stress within surgical teams. They use cutting-edge computer vision technology to aid every operation. Their project stood out for its originality, feasibility, and potential impact. Team members Daphne Cavanaugh, Aviv Ziv, Raz Naveh, Adi Sarig, Eden Elbaz, and Idan Helzer flew to compete with their idea at MIT Hacking Medicine and received an AION Labs and Sanara Ventures accelerator package, ensuring mentoring hours, office space, and professional tools for developing their winning idea into a fully-fledged startup. The MedTech Hackathon was organized by Medical students Tom Zuckerman, Orr Erlich and Yael Lieber and Engineering student Ilan Peerutin.
