Congratulations to Dr. Noham Wolpe for CRCNS/BSF-NSF grant

Congratulations to Dr. Noham Wolpe, MD-PhD, on being awarded the Collaborative Research in Computational Neuroscience (CRCNS) grant, as part of the United States-Israel Binational Science Foundation-NSF programme. Together with Dr. Matthew Nassar from Brown University, the team will work on "Investigating the neurocomputational mechanisms of belief updating".

We continuously form and update our beliefs about the world, and these beliefs guide our day-to-day behaviour. The way we update our beliefs based on new information can have serious consequences for our lives and well-being, as it can lead us to adopt fake news and conspiracy theories or experience mental health conditions, such as depression and psychosis. In this project Wolpe and his team will explore how people update their beliefs and what biological mechanisms underlie this process.
