Yftach Gepner promoted to Associate Professor & tenure

Prof. Yftach Gepner, PhD, School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, obtained his Ph.D. from Ben-Gurion University, where he conducted novel research on the influence of exercise and diet interventions on various body fat depots.
To expand his knowledge of exercise physiology in both applied and fundamental aspects, he pursued further training at the Department of Sport and Exercise, University of Central Florida.
His primary research interests revolve around comprehending the effects of exercise training and dietary strategies on muscle mass, metabolism, and performance across diverse populations. Prof. Gepner employs a multifaceted approach by combining applied studies with mechanistic investigations into metabolism and physiological adaptations.
Through his work, he aims to unravel the distinctive and advantageous effects of physical activity on human health and well-being.
