Dr. Tal Laviv received the Ben Barres early career acceleration award
Congratulations
CZI’s Neurodegeneration Challenge Network brings together experimental scientists from diverse research fields, along with computational biologists and physicians, to accelerate fundamental neuroscience and neurodegenerative disease research that leads to an in-depth understanding of healthy brain function and the development of new strategies for treatment and prevention of neurodegenerative disorders.
Tal Laviv received the Ben Barres early career acceleration award from the Chen Zuckerburg Initiative (CZI).
The award provides funding for 4 years of research in which Dr. Laviv's laboratory will use innovative tools to visualize the autophagy process in the brain. The findings from this research can in the future promote the monitoring and early treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
