Biography

Dr. Kathleen Abu-Saad is a Senior Researcher in the Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit of the The Gertner Institute for Epidemiology and Healthy Policy Research. She has a PhD in Epidemiology, and specializes in nutritional epidemiology. She has experience in managing, adapting and updating nutrient databases; developing and administering dietary assessment instruments, including IT-based lifestyle assessment and education tools; and analyzing dietary exposures and health outcomes. Additional research topics include cardiovascular epidemiology, the role of diet in diabetes, the nutrition transition, and minority health.
