Alon Kalron (Ph.D., PT) is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences and the Sagol School of Neuroscience, Tel Aviv University, Israel. He previously led the Physical Rehabilitation Research Unit at the Center for Multiple Sclerosis, Sheba Medical Center, Israel.
Prof. Kalron has been a practicing physical therapist since 1995, with extensive clinical and scientific expertise in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. He has also served as a clinical instructor for numerous physical therapy students. His primary research focuses on physical activity, cognition, gait, and balance in neurological populations, particularly individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). More recently, he has explored neuroimaging and biological markers to understand better the effects of interventions on neural function and structure.
Prof. Kalron actively collaborates with national and international clinical leaders in MS research. He has published over 120 articles in peer-reviewed international journals and has presented his work at national and international scientific conferences. His research has received funding from the European Union (Horizon 2021–2027), the Israel Science Foundation (ISF), the National MS Society, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Justice, the National Insurance Institute, and the pharmaceutical industry
