Sackler ranks high internationally
TAU's Faculty of Medicine is one of only 2 Israeli medical schools included in prestigious Shanghai ranking
Each year the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), also known as the Shanghai ranking, evaluates more than 1200 international universities. ARWU chooses the best 500 universities to publish, based on such factors as the quality of the faculty and their research output.
Tel Aviv University (TAU) is honored this year to not only be included as one of the world’s best universities (ranking between 151-200) but as also having one of the world’s best universities for clinical medicine and pharmacy. TAU’s Sackler Faculty of Medicine, together with the Hebrew University Faculty of Medicine, were the only Israeli medical schools included in the prestigious ranking and both placed between 151 and 200 worldwide. TAU’s Sackler Facutly of Medicine had the highest number of citations last year (~38,600) and also the highest number of graduate students. The employment rate for graduates from Sackler is also high.
Moreover, Sackler graduates are some of the most innovative in the world. TAU was the only non-U.S. university to rank in the top 10 universities for venture capital backed-entrepreneurs by the Pitchbook Universities Report. Of the hundreds of companies founded by TAU graduates, more than 10% were in the fields of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, health care and biotechnology.
Bottom line—Sackler Faculty of Medicine continues to further its international reputation by providing a high-quality education to students, serving as a hub for cutting-edge research, and delivering innovative solutions in the biomedical field.
