Prof. Kalron promoted to Associate Professor

Prof. Alon Kalron, PhD, PT, is head of the Department of Physical Therapy at the School of Health Professions and affiliated with the Sagol School of Neuroscience. Prof. Kalron completed his undergraduate studies at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and his Master’s and PhD at Tel Aviv University. He also served as head of the Physical Rehabilitation Research Unit, at the Center of Multiple Sclerosis, Sheba Medical Center, Israel.
Prof. Kalron is a PI in the Movement and Brain Interaction Research lab. Prof. Kalron’s research focus is on new (and traditional) physical rehabilitation treatments that affect the brain and improve mobility functions (walking and balance). Prof. Kalron's work involves creating and testing new rehabilitation treatments that promote brain plasticity and restore lost mobility functions. He challenges conventional thinking by combining new technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), while tracking the impact via advanced motion sensors in/outside the laboratory environment focusing on real-life situations.
