TAU’s Healthy Longevity Research Center joined new Sheba Longevity Center at first Longevity Conference
Tel Aviv University’s Healthy Longevity Research Center joined the new Sheba Longevity Center at their first Longevity Conference, which took place at the Sheba Medical Center on May 9-11, 2023.
Led by Prof. Tzipi Strauss and Prof. Evelyne Yehudit Bischof, the conference was attended by Prof. Uri Ashery, head of TAU’s Longevity Center, Prof. Benjamin Dekel, head of TAU’s Center for Regenerative Medicine, and Prof. Karen Avraham, Dean of TAU’s Faculty of Medicine,. Avraham also took part in a panel on “Academia, education and the public.” Prof. Avraham described the transformation in the medical school curriculum, the need for training in AI to students throughout their degree, and new advances in gene therapy for age-related hearing impairment.
Talks were given by TAU Professors Prof. Tali Cukierman-Yaffe, Prof. Shai Efrati and Prof. Jaron Rabinovici.
