The Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University is the largest in Israel and trains a wide variety of professionals and researcher in the different fields of medicine. It is raising the banner of devotion to academic excellence while leading in clinical training.

 

The faculty includes about 1500 faculty members who teach, provide clinical tutoring and conduct research in the Ramat Aviv university campus and the affiliated departments in six general medical centers, six psychiatric hospitals, two rehabilitation facilities and community clinics.

 

 

The Sackler School of medicine includes three MD programs: 

The six years program, the four years program and the New York program for students from the United States and Canada.

 

These programs were established for the purpose of training our graduates for their position as excellent physicians with high level theoretical knowledge, with instruments for continuous and critical self-teaching as well as up to date developed clinical skills and perfect professional conduct.

 

About 240 students attend these programs each year.

 

The Goldshlager School of Dental Medicine trains its students for the DMD degree – Doctor for Dental Medicine.

 

The Stanley Steyer School of Health Professions trains its students for a first degree in nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and communication disorders. Approximately 2000 students attend these programs which take place in the University’s campus and affiliated hospitals.

 

Three of the faculty’s schools offer training for advanced degrees.

 

The Adelson Graduate School includes teaching and research programs towards M.Sc. and Ph.D.in a variety of medical science fields such as genetics, biochemistry, anatomy, anthropology, pathology, cell biology, physiology, pharmacology, medical ethics and more. 

 

Each student has the option to choose a combination of courses in order to train him as a leading researcher in the medical research field that he chooses to focus on. The faculty research staff who tutor  the students in their research projects are involved in a wide range of basic research subjects or disease oriented ones.
