Marianas Spinning Disk Confocal

Spinning Disk Confocal (Marianas) offers superior live cell imaging with optimal optical sectioning and minimal pinhole crosstalk.

It utilizes a dual Nipkow disk with microlenses, ensuring fast image production by scanning 1,000 points of laser light simultaneously.

The system includes a temperature controller, CO2 gas mixer, and Light Sheet option for long-term imaging with minimal photodamage.

With excitation lasers at 405nm, 488nm, 561nm, and 640nm, and objectives 20x, 60x oil and 100x oil, it provides high-quality images. Additionally, it features SoRa, a super-resolution microscopy technique, enhancing resolution by 1.4x, further improved with deconvolution.

Unlike traditional LSMs, it employs a CCD camera with a quantum efficiency of 95%, enabling imaging at over 1,000 frames per second. This technology is essential for advanced live cell imaging labs.

Applications:
•    Live/fixed multicolor imaging
•    Super-resolution (SORA) live/fixed multicolor imaging
•    FRAP
•    Time-lapse imaging
•    Tile scan
•    Multi position imaging
•    Not suitable for multi-well plates
