Participation in seminars

A PhD student is required to attend at least 25 seminar lectures. The lectures must be part of the Departments’ seminar series at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. The student should keep a record of the lectures he/she attended, and have the instructor sign the "participation in seminars" form.

Towards the end of the doctoral studies, the student must submit the form to the Graduate School secretariat, together with the submission of the doctoral thesis. The student will not be able to finish his/her doctoral studies without submitting the “participation in seminars” form.

Participation in up to 2 scientific conferences will be approved as part of the obligation to participate in seminars. Each conference will be considered as 2 seminars.

In addition, towards the end of the doctoral studies, the student is required to give a lecture on his/her doctoral thesis as part of the departmental seminar. The supervisor should provide a letter to the Graduate School office stating that the student delivered a seminar and the title of the seminar.
