International Programs in the Medical Sciences

The Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson School of Graduate Studies grants M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in the medical sciences, health professions, and public health. Applicants are admitted on the strength of their academic record and personal interviews. Throughout their studies, students actively engage in diverse multidisciplinary research in a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment. Students receive training in advanced courses, laboratory work and seminars, alongside their own research projects.

 

The School of Graduate Studies encompasses diverse fields of research from which students may choose their research projects and coursework. Students in the medical sciences may specialize in one of the following fields: immunology, physical anthropology, epidemiology and preventive medicine, bioinformatics, clinical biochemistry, cellular and developmental biology, genetics, drug development and application, microbiology, brain sciences (direct Ph.D. track), neurology, drug development and application (direct Ph.D. track), physiology & pharmacology, and clinical pathology.

 

Students in the School of Health Professions may specialize in communication disorders, nursing, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
