About RICF

about-ICF

Access to equipment of the RICF is primarily available to the Tel Aviv University research community. The RICF is also available to external scientists and commercial users on an as-needed basis. All services are provided at a fee-per-service basis.

Users are allowed to book machines once they have been trained to use them. Training sessions for the machines can be reserved by telephone or e-mail by contacting the designated staff member.

On-site assistance is available Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 to 15:00. Staff members should always be contacted in case of doubt, prior to operating the equipment. To access the RICF units outside working hours it is necessary to have a valid university access card. Users may purchase an access card upon registration. Please register using this link in order to ask permission to gain access after hours. Card access will be granted only once we approve you in the system

Users are not allowed to give their building access cards to other people. Any infringement of the rules will result in a warning of the user and can lead to a temporary blocking of the user account. In case of repeated violations, permanent exclusion from the RICF will be considered.

All users are obliged to follow equipment operating instructions as well adhere to the safety guidelines of Tel-Aviv University.

User access to the RICF may be denied if the user does not fulfill his or her responsibilities regarding proper use of the equipment.

Equipment Booking

Access to the equipment is scheduled via the BookIt website. Following registration, users will obtain access to an online calendar booking system. It is recommended that you only book the timeslot needed for the experiment itself. Do not reserve time in excess of what you need, as this will block others from using the instrument. Do not exceed the timeslot that you have reserved, as this may delay the following users. Do not take another person’s timeslot without consulting them first and updating the online reservation system. For any questions, please contact the RICF staff members.

TAU users, payment for the RICF (ZABAM) services is made via the ERP system.  Instructions for paying your RICF bill via the ERP system are available here.
