After an initial evaluation and screening, candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited for an interview with the Admissions Committee.

Interview duration: Approximately 25 minutes.

The committee will assess your knowledge acquired during previous studies, as well as your proposed research plan. The evaluation will include an in-depth review of your research question, objectives, and methodology. The committee will also assess your ability to address questions requiring creative thinking, analytical skills, understanding of fundamental research methods, and topics of interest as outlined in your statement of intent.

Beyond admission to the PhD program, your performance in the interview will influence the scholarship amount you may receive. Outstanding candidates may be eligible for particularly high-value scholarships.

Important Notes:

  • The admission interviews will be conducted via Zoom. Please ensure that you have access to a suitable environment with a stable internet connection. Additionally, the interview is personal, meaning candidates must attend without the presence of their supervisors.
  • The Admissions Committee’s decision regarding doctoral admission is final, and appeals will not be considered. Additionally, candidates cannot request a second interview (including those applying for the direct track).
  • If the committee exceptionally grants a candidate a second interview, admission will be granted without eligibility for a faculty scholarship.
  • A second interview, if approved, will be scheduled within the official PhD admission interview timeline. A third interview request will not be considered.
