Master of Science in Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine (M.Sc.)

 

  • Required Medical Faculty Courses (5 credits): Biostatistics A (Basic), Scientific Writing
  • Required M.Sc. Core Courses (15 credits): Introduction to Epidemiology, Interpretation of Epidemiological Data, Research and Survey Methods in Epidemiology, 2 advanced courses in Biostatistics
  • Electives (8 credits): Environmental Epidemiology, Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology of Aging and Prevention in Old Age, Epidemiology of Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke, Nutritional Epidemiology, Cancer Epidemiology, Epidemiology of Physical Activity, Occupational Epidemiology, Medical Decision Making, Medical Informatics, Clinical Trials, or other courses provided by the School of Public Health and the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine
  • No more than 6 credits may be taken from courses offered by the Graduate School of Medicine. The graduate studies committee of the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine must first approve the selected courses.
