Pediatrics
TAU Medical students undertake two Pediatric clerkships in our affiliated hospitals and clinics.
This first clerkship gives students a clinical basis and practical experience in the field of Pediatrics. Students cover topics in the growth and development of healthy children, such as their nutritional needs and immunization requirements. They also begin to explore issues in the treatment of children with complicated syndromes, illnesses, and disorders.
During the second clerkship, students complete a three-week sub-internship split between a hospital department and a community health center. Students take part in daily clinical work under supervision of an experienced medical staff.
The Department also conducts academic activities and research. It holds four meetings per year where physicians present clinical cases and researchers give lectures and updates in the field. The Department actively encourages academic research activities and the strengthening of connections between TAU physicians and researchers with their colleagues abroad.
