Neurology and Neurosurgery
The Neurology and Neurosurgery Department trains medical students in the skills necessary for the evaluation of patients with nervous system dysfunction. During the clerkship, students learn how to perform a methodical neurological examination. They also learn how to use and interpret ancillary tests, and how to treat common neurological disorders.
The Department hosts extensive academic activities, including courses in continuing medical education. Moreover, the Department encourages collaboration between researchers in the various aspects of neurological disorders, from basic science to clinical studies and translational research on the latest treatment innovations. This cutting-edge research involves innovations in drug treatment, surgical methods and biomedical technology. An integral part of this vision is the growing collaboration with the research activities in Sagol School of Neuroscience.
