 8th Annual  Summer Institute of Advanced Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine

in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health

The Summer Institute of Advanced Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine offers a variety of intensive courses for graduate students (MPH, MSc Epidemiology, PhD and MD candidates), qualified undergraduate students, clinicians, health care executives, researchers, policy makers, and those with special interest in epidemiology and preventive medicine -- from Israel and abroad. The courses are taught in English by world-renowned faculty from Johns Hopkins University (JHU), Tel Aviv University (TAU), Harvard University (HU), Stanford University (SU), University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), Northwestern University (NU), University of British Columbia (UBC), World Health Organization (WHO), United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other academic and research institutions.

Program Information


Applications are welcomed from: 

Students in public health/medicine track (graduate and qualified undergraduate), clinicians, healthcare executives, researchers, policymakers, and those with a special interest in epidemiology and preventive medicine.

Course Length:

One week (26 hours)
Class: Sun-Thur & Final Exam: Friday

Credits:

Each course is worth 2 academic credits / 4 ECTS, unless indicated otherwise. Courses may be taken credit or no-credit.

Deadlines & Fees 


Application Deadline:

June 1, 2019 (Rolling admissions)

Application Fee:

$60 non-refundable

Course Tuition:

  • One Course: $900 
  • Two Courses: $1,700
  • Three Courses: $2,500 
  • Four Courses: $3,300

Confirmation Fee:

$500 by June 8, 2019
Accepted applicants must submit a Confirmation Fee, deducted from course tuition, in order to secure a place within the course.

On-Campus Housing:

Please contact the Program Coordinator (summersph@tauex.tau.ac.il) to reserve a room.

Single studio apartment for the duration of the course (Saturday - Friday): $450  - to be paid after reservation request is confirmed and confirmation fees are submitted.

Tuition Deadline:

June 15, 2019

 Refund Policy:
  • The Application Fee ($60) is non-refundable.
  • If you withdraw before June 15, 2019, we will refund the Course Tuition minus the Confirmation Fee ($500).
  • If you withdraw after the Summer Institute officially begins (July 8, 2019), no refund will be provided.
