Varioskan LUX

Thermo Scientific™ Varioskan™ LUX is a modular multi-technology microplate reader controlled by Thermo Scientific SkanIt® Software. End point, kinetic, spectral and multipoint measurements can be carried out in the UV/Vis/NIR range from appropriate microplate formats. In fluorescence intensity, time-resolved fluorescence, luminescence measurements 6- to 1536-well plates can be used, and correspondingly 6- to 384-well plates in absorbance measurements. The instrument also has incubating, atmospheric control, shaking and reagent dispensing capabilities.

APPLICATIONS: Basically, spectrophotometry is one of the most widely used analytical procedures in biochemistry. It is commonly used to estimate the level of an analyte in solution and is ideal for simple routine determination of small quantities of materials.
