Ph.D. students at TAU can apply to present their research at international conferences.

Travel allowance to conferences for PhD students

 

PhD students are eligible for a travel grant of up to $1,000 for attending scientific conferences.

 

This travel scholarship is awarded exclusively to PhD students who receive a monthly subsistence stipend. Students who have finished receiving a monthly scholarship cannot use this budget.

 

The conditions for receiving a scholarship to travel to conferences are:

 

1. Approved research proposal and transition to the second phase of the PhD

2. Presentation of confirmation from the conference on receipt of the abstract for presentation as a poster or as a lecture.

 

A travel scholarship will not be approved for students who will not present at the conference.

 

Procedure for submitting an application for a travel scholarship:

 

1. A student travel form must be filled out in print. The travel form must be signed by:

A. The head of the department or the director of the department in the hospital

B. Vice Dean for Preclinical Affairs of the Faculty - Prof. Rina Arbesfeld (the form should be sent by email to arina@tauex.tau.ac.il)

 

2. Confirmation of presenting a poster or lecture at the conference must be attached to the request.

 

3. Fill out a budget approval form and send it to: galite@tauex.tau.ac.il.

 

Please submit all the printed forms (except the "budget approval" form) to the Graduate School office, School of Medicine building, room 212

 

4. An accounting form with receipts must be submitted within one month of returning from the conference. Be sure to save original boarding cards for submission.
