General Lab Services
This core unit provides access to a wide range of general lab equipment including spectroscopy, thermal analysis techniques, several types of gel readers, RT-PCR systems, gamma and x-ray irradiation, ultra- and high-speed centrifuges, and more.
Flow Cytometry
This core unit provides researchers with high-speed cell sorting services and bench top flow cytometry analysis. We offer technical expertise, training, and access to sophisticated instrumentation, including a wide range of flow cytometry techniques. This technology allows simultaneous multi-parametric analysis of thousands of cells per second, rapidly enabling trained researchers to analyze complex cell populations. High-speed assisted cell sorting services provide researchers with a fast, objective, and quantitative recording of fluorescent signals from individual cells combined with the physical separation of cells of particular interest.
Cellular and Molecular Imaging Center
Our Imaging Center offers a wide variety of services, covering confocal and high-throughput microscopy, whole animal imaging and image analysis. All devices and instruments are centralized under one roof, providing a continuum of complete in-depth studies and projects in vivo and in vitro, from the micro to the macro level.
Whole animal imaging is monitored by Fluorescence and Bioluminescence Imaging, Fiber Confocal Microscopy, High sensitivity and High resolution Ultra-sound systems and a micro-CT scanner. Image analysis services include: Deconvolution and 3D and 4D Real-Time Interactive Image Visualization. Histological Services
The Histology core unit provides basic training and access to specialized high-quality instrumentation. Our services include sample preparation, paraffin blocks or frozen tissue processing, slide preparation and various staining technics (IHC, ISH and IF). We also provide H&E, Masson’s trichrome and PAS staining. Our staff can train the sample providers for independent use or provide full/partial service according to specific requirements.
Single Cell Genomics Core
The SCGC unit is a state-of-the-art facility offering a variety of experimental platforms to facilitate single cell analysis and genomics research. We work closely with researchers to customize experiments to meet their needs. The SCG Core has the means to sort and isolate single cells and generate single cell products to use for gene expression analysis or next-generation sequencing.
The Core houses the 10xGenomics Chromium System for single cell library preparation to sequence on the Illumina NextSeq or HiSeq, and the inDrop System.
We can take care of your sequencing and analysis or alternatively, the Core can prepare your libraries and provide them to you for future processing.
The Myers Neuro-Behavioral Core Facility
The Facility offers expertise in design, implementation, and analysis of behavioral experiments. We currently cater for mouse users only. We provide many types of testing services including:
Motor function analysis, anxiety & depression-related behaviors, learning and memory, nociception assays, social interaction, video tracking and vocalization equipment.
