Researchers and clinicians from a variety of disciplines are actively involved in cancer research at Tel Aviv University and in our affiliated hospitals. They devote their efforts and time to the study of the biology of malignant processes and to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of neoplastic diseases. Life science and medical researchers combine forces with those in engineering, psychology, and computer technology to develop new tools and therapies to fight cancer and extend lives.

TAU is internationally recognized for advances in combating prostrate and pancreatic cancer, identifying genes and markers for breast cancer, and in drug development. Our researchers are leading the way in genomics, cancer cell scanning, and creating novel compounds to fight some of the deadliest cancers on the planet.

Furthermore, Tel Aviv University is home to the one of the largest cancer research centers in Israel and the Middle East, making discoveries with profound implications for research around the world.
