Diagnostic Imaging

Diagnostic imaging is devoted to the study of routine and advanced radiographic imaging procedures. Student knowledge acquisition involves a combination of theoretical knowledge in preclinical studies at the Faculty and practical knowledge in the imaging institutes of hospitals. Faculty members are radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians.

The topics that students are exposed to are diverse and focus on the principles of clinical imaging, using morphological and functional imaging technologies, MRI x- rays, CT, US angiography, nuclear medicine (SPECT and PET), as well as molecular imaging. Students also study the imaging characteristics of disease processes: processes of infection and inflammation, myocardial disease, vascular disease, fetal pathologies, as well as genetic diseases and malignancies.
