Track 75 – Completion of a Master’s Thesis Equivalent
Overview
Track 75 is designed for students who have earned a Master’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum weighted GPA of 80 (Good) but did not complete a thesis as part of their studies. Students admitted to this track will be required to complete a research thesis equivalent to a Master’s thesis.
Registration Process
To enroll, students must apply through the university’s registration system >>
In the system, select the option to apply for a Master’s degree in the department where your supervisor is affiliated.
Important: Only faculty members with the rank of Senior Lecturer or higher are eligible to supervise students in Track 75.
Admission Process
Once the registration process is completed, the candidate’s file will be reviewed by the faculty office, which will schedule an admission interview.
Candidates who:
- Do not have an academic background in medical sciences, or
- Completed their Master’s degree more than five years ago without a thesis,
may be required to take supplementary coursework as recommended by the admissions committee.
Program Requirements & Timeline
- Students must submit a Master’s research proposal by the end of their first year of study. Detailed guidelines can be found on the Graduate School website under “Submitting a Research Proposal” >>
- The Master’s thesis must be submitted for evaluation by the end of the program. More details are available under “Submitting a Master’s Thesis” >>
- The thesis must be completed within a maximum of two years.
Important Notes
- Scholarships: Students in this track are not eligible for faculty scholarships but may receive funding from their supervisor.
- Doctoral Research: Research conducted for the Master’s thesis cannot be used as part of a future Ph.D. dissertation.

Transition to Ph.D. Studies
Students who wish to apply for Ph.D. studies after completing Track 75 must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum GPA of 80 in the non-thesis Master’s degree.
- Selection of a faculty supervisor with the rank of Senior Lecturer or higher.
- Pre-approval from the Chair of the Ph.D. Committee before starting Track 75.
(To obtain approval, applicants must submit their Bachelor’s and Master’s transcripts and a CV to the Graduate School coordinator during the registration process.) - A minimum grade of 85 from each thesis evaluator.
- Completion of any required coursework as determined by the admissions committee.
- Completion of Track 75 within two years.
Only after meeting all of these requirements will the Ph.D. Committee review the candidate’s application and determine whether to invite them for an admission interview.
