Eligibility Rules & Regulations

The Aufzien Family Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Parkinson's Disease (APPD) is a venture of Tel Aviv University and brings together excellence in research among basic scientists (Tenure-track Faculty members at TAU from all faculties) and physicians and PhD researchers (TAU Faculty members from affiliated hospitals and HMOs*).

Preference will be given to proposals that focus on understanding and modifying the disease’s basic mechanisms, and to potential interventions aimed at slowing symptom progression or synucleinopathies. Collaboration with at least two different groups within TAU, or with external groups (including international), is an advantage; funding is available only within TAU. Priority will be given to teams that include both basic researchers and clinicians.

Please note: grant awards depend on the Center receiving its annual donation.
