The Effect of Circadian Disruption on Dopaminergic Neurons Function and Parkinsonism

The ultimate goal of this project is to test the hypothesis that the DA neurons' intrinsic clocks are essential for the function of these neurons, and that disruption of these clocks leads to neuronal disfunction and a consequent parkinsonian phenotype.

Such analyses will include characterization of the affected cellular pathways and neuronal networks (by calcium imaging), DA-related behaviors, maintenance and longevity of DA neurons, and, obviously, changes in locomotion.
