Occupational Therapy
B.O.T.- Bachelor in Occupational Therapy
* This program is offered only in Hebrew
The mission of the B.O.T. program is to train occupational therapists to contribute to and excel in the promotion of health for Israel's diverse population, and to maximize the function and life satisfaction of persons whose daily performance has been affected by disease, disability, life stressors and/or other factors. The program aims to prepare students to become competent occupational therapists, equipped for safe and effective practice in a variety of healthcare settings within a global workforce.
We provide a high quality educational program over 7 semesters (three and a half years.) The program includes courses in basic sciences, occupational therapy theory and practice, and clinical fieldwork studies. Fieldwork studies are supervised and placements are carried out in a variety of settings
Since 2004, the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach has been incorporated into the department's undergraduate program. PBL, which builds on real-life cases to increase the student's knowledge, fosters independent, self-directed study in small groups.
Since the introduction of national licensing requirements, the B.OT. program prepares students for the licensing examination which grants eligibility to be a registered practicing clinician.
