We offer sample processing and slide preparation service that specializes in hard materials such as bones or metal-containing tissues. Our method utilizes polymethyl methacrylate acrylic plastic (PMMA), as opposed to paraffin wax, as the embedding material for samples. Once solidified, the material is sectioned by a saw, mounted on slides, ground, and polished. The process may take a maximum time of three weeks to complete. All histological work performed in our lab is overseen by Bahaa Medlej, M.D., Ph.D., an anatomy specialist with over 13 years of experience in the field of histology at Tel Aviv University.
