Meet David Mandil

David Mandil, an MD/PhD student, conducts his research under the supervision of Prof. Inna Slutsky from the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine.

David has a background in electrical engineering and comes to research after completing his pre-clinical studies in medicine.

In his work, Mandil investigates the effects of a hibernation-like state on Alzheimer's disease in model mice, from the initial stage before the appearance of symptoms to the symptomatic stage of the disease.

This unique condition may pave the way for a new approach to understanding, characterizing, and treating some of the symptoms and pathological processes observed in the disease.
