Our Mission
Welcome to the Sieratzki Institute for Advances in Neuroscience. Pursuing Excellence in Neuroscience Research at Tel Aviv University. In Memory of Heinrich (Yehezkel) and Barbara (Batya) Sieratzki
The Sieratzki Institute for Advances in Neuroscience, led by Prof. Inna Slutsky, drives interdisciplinary neuroscience research at Tel Aviv University and across Israel.
Our mission is to understand how neural circuits give rise to cognition and behavior by integrating computational, theoretical, and experimental approaches.
Bringing together chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, computer science, and psychology, the Institute creates a collaborative environment where science converges to tackle the mysteries of the brain.
We are equally committed to advancing innovative research and to fostering the next generation of neuroscientists through training, mentoring, and community building.
The Sieratzki Institute promotes excellence by:
- Supporting groundbreaking, cross-disciplinary research
- Hosting lectures and events with leading local and global scientists
- Providing fellowships, awards, and training opportunities for young researchers
- Establishing core facilities with advanced technologies
- Partnering with other neuroscience institutes to accelerate discovery and innovation
- Engaging the public through outreach and science communication
