Call for MSc and PhD Excellence Scholarships

Pfizer-Wexler Foundation for Development and Progress

 

We are pleased to announce a call for MSc and PhD Scholarships from the Pfizer-Wexler Foundation for Development and Progress for biomedical research at the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University.

 

The call will provide 50% scholarships to outstanding students undertaking research in fields related to mechanisms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of human disease.


Eligibility


• Full time students at Faculty of Medicine, TAU labs performing MSc (2nd
year, after research proposal) or PhD students
• MSc students with a BSc minimum average of 85 and MSc first year
average 90 or above. PhD students with a BSc, MSc, or PhD minimum
average of 85 and a thesis grade of 90 or above
• Endorsement and recommendation by the MSc/PhD advisor required
• The student must already receive 125% from other sources; this scholarship
is in addition to current scholarship
• The student must dedicate maximum time and energy to their studies
and research

 


Application process


• Students who meet the criteria above are requested to download the application form, fill it out and have it signed by their advisor. The request should include the advisor's approval and their commitment to funding as stated above.
• All documents (except letter of recommendation) should be submitted in one PDF through the website.
• Letter of recommendation should be sent directly to kersha@tauex.tau.ac.il by the MSc/PhD advisor (letters submitted by students will not be accepted).

Rules and Regulations


• Scholarships are awarded for the period April 1 - Sept 30, 2023.
• The conditions for receiving scholarships are set annually in accordance with the policies of the Tel Aviv University and do not constitute a precedent or basis for future scholarships.
