Faculty Position in Sports Medicine at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine


Department: Sackler School of Medicine and the Sylvan Adams Sports Institute


The Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University seeks outstanding candidates to fill tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Positions are available beginning the academic year October 2018. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and preference will be given for post-doctoral training.


Successful candidates are expected to carry out independent competitive research programs, supervise graduate students combined with high level teaching in graduate and medical school programs.


Areas of expertise include: science of sports and exercise, applied sports, anatomy, physiology and pharmacology.


The deadline for applications is July 15, 2018.


Candidate hiring will be conducted in accordance with standard University procedures and subject to the approval of the authorized academic institution. Academic rank will be determined by the candidate’s skills and experience.


The position is open to all candidates regardless of gender, nationality and ethnicity. The position will be filled in accordance with the candidate’s skills and the requirements of the School of Medicine. The University is not bound to accept any application.


Position requirements: Applicants should submit: (1) A curriculum vitae with a full list of publications arranged according to the instructions published on the Faculty's website (*) ; (2) A research summary (should not exceed three pages) including past research accomplishments, current projects (including unpublished work), and future research plans; (3) A teaching statement based on the spectrum of courses currently taught at the medical and graduate schools of the Sackler Faculty of Medicine and potential new courses.
